I'm good friends with the owners, so when local news blog Chattarati asked me to take a photo of the guys for the grand opening, I knew I could have a lot of fun with it. Lasers, bikini clad women, records, and a grilled cheese sandwich. There you have it: Discoteca.

It all started a few years ago when Tubatomic designed the ChannelBlue website. ChannelBlue is the home for a series of educational videos that explain health risks and promotes healthy lifestyle choices.

When I began working at Tubatomic, we we're tasked with creating new videos from scratch. That included hiring actors, filming against a green screen, recording and mixing audio, and creating animations that visually described the dialogue. You can view the finished product here. See the Well and Wise videos at the bottom of the page. I was responsible for creating the majority of these animations, mixing down the audio, and selecting music for the videos.

Aside from the ChannelBlue site, I also designed a mini-site for an email campaign. Check it out.

Along with songwriting responsibilities, multiple weekly practices and an intensive show schedule, I did all of the design work for the band over a 3 year period. Aside from numerous posters and other promotional materials, I designed the cover of our e.p., The Corpse and the Cake. My goal was to aesthetically translate our brand of angular pop rock into the cd design. I chose to use bright yellow shapes on a subdued gray background paired with simple clean typopgraphy. We went on to sell like millions of records and were lauded in the press as the best band since the dawning of rock n' roll. You're just going to have to trust me on this.

The ad campaign developed while at Maycreate called for a focus on the object. I styled, set up lights, photographed and did extensive photo-retouching to make the objects appear as if they had been shot in a professional studio. All of the backgrounds were created in photoshop and meticulously worked over.

Tubatomic designed Revival's website and I designed the maps for the locations page.

The ad campaign that I worked on while at Maycreate required photography, editing, type layout and pre-press on a weekly basis. Embellish's brand needed to appeal to women of means with a more sophisticated understanding of fashion. By placing emphasis on the individual shoes we were able to focus on the brands they carried and demonstrate the constant flow of new inventory they brought in.

Along with the ad campaign, I designed the website for Embellish. On brand with the print ads, the website is stark white, elegant and sophisticated. The website also allowed Embellish to showcase the shoes from the ads into an image gallery organized by designer. Check it out here.

The previous mark was a 3-D anvil, and the company colors were black, silver, and neon green. It was dated and in need of rethinking. After some elbow grease and a lot of meetings we came to a final solution. A light and friendly new look with an updated play on the anvil, and a new color scheme that's more friendly and approachable.

The redesign also included a revamped website with a series of promo videos on the homepage that I spearheaded. Take a look around here.
